The Tennessee Titans actually looked like they might be a real football team on Sunday against the Los Angeles Chargers. They may have ultimately lost the game 27-20, but they didn’t make it easy for the Chargers either. The Titans actually led the game 14-7 at the end of the first quarter.
The Chargers eventually came back, but it was back-and-forth for a while with Justin Herbert getting sacked six times and throwing an interception that Cody Barton returned for a touchdown. Cam Ward was sacked four times, but he didn’t turn the ball over, so that’s a plus.
Their play on Sunday does not mean that we expect big things from the Titans now, though; it just means that for once, we didn’t want to claw our eyes out while watching the game.
Let’s take a look at the best and worst performances in the Titans’ loss as graded by Pro Football Focus.
