At 4 p.m. ET on Tuesday, Nov. 4, all NFL general managers will have to put down their phones and hit pause on trading any players for the remainder of the 2025 season.

After that, no player can be dealt until the 2026 league year begins in March.

For the Miami Dolphins, that means there isn’t much time for interim GM Champ Kelly to get what he can for a team that is clearly far from ready to be competitive. Just a few days ahead of the trade deadline, the Dolphins parted with Chris Grier after nearly a decade, leaving Kelly in charge of getting what he can for veterans who aren’t in the team’s long-term picture.

Kelly hasn’t wasted any time. He already moved on from pass rusher Jaelan Phillips, accepting a third-round pick from the Philadelphia Eagles in exchange for the fifth-year outside linebacker.

Below, we’ll track the latest news and rumors around the Dolphins at the trade deadline:

Chubb, who has also been rumored to be on the trading block, reacted on social media to the trade that sent Phillips to the Eagles:

During a Monday press conference, McDaniel was asked if the Dolphins are planning to make any more big trades before the deadline.

“You’re always ready for whatever turn, you’re ready for the terms of other teams to hit you with a blindside, so whether or not I expect it, I’m always expecting the unexpected. So you’re ready for whatever,” McDaniel told reporters.

“We haven’t made a major move because it hasn’t made sense for the Miami Dolphins as we kind of have collectively derived, but does that mean there won’t be something? Who knows? That’s partially our control, partially other teams, and we’ll do business as we know it to be done which is do the best thing for the Miami Dolphins both short and long term.”

Dolphins only willing to part with Waddle for huge haul

Trading wide receiver Jaylen Waddle would be a surprise considering the young pass catcher is clearly the No. 1 option for the Dolphins moving forward. According to NFL Network’s Tom Pelissero, Miami is willing to listen to offers for any player on its roster, including Waddle. However, the Dolphins would only be willing to accept a trade if it lands them a “first-round pick and more.”

Dolphins current draft capital

After acquiring a third-round pick from the Eagles, the Dolphins now have a trio of third-rounders in the 2026 NFL draft. Here’s their current list of selections:

The Dolphins are clearly sellers and not buyers at the deadline due to their 2-7 record.

Shortly after Grier was dismissed as general manager, NFL Network’s Tom Pelissero reported that five players were drawing interest. One was Phillips, who is already off the Dolphins’ roster. These were the other four:

On Monday, Bleacher Report’s Jordan Schultz reported that the Dolphins are also fielding interest in veteran safety Minkah Fitzpatrick.
