For the past four seasons, the Jacksonville Jaguars have begun the season on the road.

That will change in 2025, according to NFL insider Jordan Schultz.

The Jacksonville Jaguars will open the season at EverBank Stadium against the Carolina Panthers, according to Schultz.

That means rookie No. 2 overall pick Travis Hunter will debut in his home uniform No. 12 for the Jaguars.

As Schultz points out, it’s also a matchup of the last two Tampa Bay Buccaneers offensive coordinators: Dave Canales vs Liam Coen.

The Jaguars haven’t begun a season at home since the COVID-restricted season of 2020. They played the Indianapolis Colts, winning 27-20.

Since then, they’ve opened on the road against: Houston (2021), Washington (2022), Indianapolis (2023) and Miami (2024).

The only win in that four-game span was at the Colts.
