My understanding is the #Cowboys have spoken to the Bengals on DE Trey Hendrickson and LB Logan Wilson, and to the Dolphins on OLB Bradley Chubb. They’ve had talks with other teams as well.

The Cincinnati Bengals didn’t figure to be major players at the NFL trade deadline, barring a smaller move like trading away Logan Wilson or even a Cam Taylor-Britt.

But Jerry Jones and the Dallas Cowboys have a way of dragging others into the spotlight.

According to NFL reporter Jordan Schultz, the Cowboys have been in touch with the Bengals about names like Wilson and pass-rusher Trey Hendrickson. The report also states that the Cowboys have talked with the Miami Dolphins about Bradley Chubb.

So: Could be something. Could be nothing. A previous report said the Bengals shot down the Cowboys about Hendrickson

Jones has been very publicly teasing a trade in the works that will happen before Tuesday’s deadline. For the Bengals, it’s more likely to be for Wilson than Hendrickson, just simply because of asking price, future cost and accounting for typical Bengals stubbornness.

Then again, if the Bengals were going to get a ripoff win while losing Hendrickson, it would probably have the best chance with the Cowboys and Jones, the team universally panned for trading away Micah Parsons.

In the end, this probably has more to do with the Dolphins than the Bengals. But one minor deadline sale by the Bengals isn’t totally unwarranted to watch for on Tuesday.
