Josh Allen led the Buffalo Bills to a 28-21 win over the Kansas City Chiefs.

Allen became the all-time leader in rushing touchdowns by a quarterback with 78.

Chiefs DC Spagnuolo told Allen, “I want you to retire,” after the game.

Josh Allen was incredible for the Buffalo Bills on Sunday as they defeated the Kansas City Chiefs, 28-21. It was a highly anticipated matchup between two AFC rivals, and it was the Bills who reigned supreme, handing the Chiefs their first loss in four games.

Allen turned in a very efficient performance for Buffalo, completing 23-of-26 passes for 273 yards and one touchdown. The reigning NFL MVP also had six carries for 19 yards and two rushing TDs. Kansas City’s defense simply could not hold Allen down in this one, and this fact prompted a blunt message from Chiefs Defensive Coordinator Steve Spagnuolo after the game.

The Bills improved to 6-2 after Sunday’s big victory. The win over the Chiefs follows their 40-9 thrashing of the Carolina Panthers in Week 8, and Buffalo now has a lot of momentum on its side.

The Bills have Allen to thank for their sixth win of the season. The three-time Pro Bowl quarterback turned in another inspired performance. He even made NFL history by recording his 78th rushing TD on Sunday, becoming the all-time leader for most rushing touchdowns by a quarterback.

Spagnuolo came into the game with a clear game plan against Allen, but it simply did not work. This led to the Chiefs DC making an honest statement during his postgame interaction with the Bills superstar.

“I don’t want to play you anymore,” Spagnuolo told Allen. “I want you to retire.”

The friendly exchange drew a reaction from the NFL.

“Spags is sick of playing @JoshAllenQB 😅” the league posted on X.

The good news for Spagnuolo is that the Chiefs are no longer scheduled to face Allen and the Bills in the regular season this year. However, it appears that Kansas City may need to go through Buffalo in the AFC if the Chiefs want to get back to the Super Bowl in February next year.

The Chiefs get a bye in Week 10. Their next chance to get back to winning ways will be on Nov. 17, in a Week 11 matchup against the Denver Broncos at Empower Field at Mile High.
