There are many questions surrounding the Tennessee Titans and their future that will be answered in the coming days, with the NFL trade deadline approaching. After kicking things off last week with the trade of Roger McCreary, fans were left to wonder who would be next if any further moves were made.
One of those questions was answered on Monday night, when news broke that the Tennessee Titans had reached a deal to send veteran edge rusher Dre’Mont Jones to the Baltimore Ravens in exchange for a conditional fifth-round pick that could eventually end up as a fourth-rounder if certain conditions are met.
Tennessee signed Jones in March to boost its ailing pass rush, and although it has taken some time, Jones is surging. He recorded sacks in four consecutive games, including 1.5 sacks on Sunday in the Titans’ Week 9 loss to the Los Angeles Chargers. Jones is nine games into the $8.5 million contract he signed in March, and will finish his Titans career with 26 total tackles (13 solo) and 4.5 sacks.

The move leaves the Titans extremely thin along the defensive edge, and they will likely have to add depth to the position in the coming days ahead of their Week 11 matchup with the Houston Texans.
