On NFL trade deadline day, the Jacksonville Jaguars worked out a former All-Pro.
On NFL trade deadline day, which included the Jacksonville Jaguars trading for wide receiver Jakobi Meyers, the team reportedly worked out safety George Odum as well.
Odum has been in the NFL since 2018, appearing in 105 games during that span while making 12 starts.
During the 2020 season, Odum was named a first-team All-Pro for his contributions on special teams. He then earned second-team honors in 2022.
Odum has played 2,221 career special teams snaps, regularly contributing across five of the six different phases.
Defensively, Odum’s 472 snaps in 2021 are the most he has played in a single season. He has two other seasons with at least 200 snaps, but has otherwise provided depth.
When on the field, Odum has been a sound tackler and has three interceptions along with six pass breakups. Most of his snaps have come at free safety, according to PFF.
Over his career, Odum spent four seasons with Indianapolis and the previous three with San Francisco.
As of now, no signing has been reported.
