Familiar faces seems to be the theme for the Seattle Seahawks in 2025. The Seahawks will face Tyler Lockett and DK Metcalf when they play the Titans and Steelers. Sam Darnold and Cooper Kupp will see their former teams in the Vikings and Rams as well. Now, there is another one: Dan Quinn and his Washington Commanders.
Quinn was Seattle’s defensive coordinator during their two Super Bowl runs in 2013 and 2014. Now he has returned to the head coaching level for the Commanders, and is fresh off a run to the NFC Championship game. The latest rumor to be leaked from the schedule comes via JP Finlay of NBC Sports. It looks like the Seahawks will be taking on the Commanders under the lights of prime time in Week 9 on Sunday Night Football.
This season will mark the first visit back to the “other Washington” for the Seahawks since 2021, which was also a prime time game. Seattle fell to the then-Washington Football Team 17-15 on Monday Night Football. However, they are technically undefeated against the “Commanders” having outlasted them 29-26 during the 2023 campaign at Lumen Field.

The Seahawks will get their first glimpse at the sensational Jayden Daniels, who took the league by storm last year.
