By all accounts, the Tampa Bay Buccaneers got a haul in the 2025 NFL Draft in Green Bay earlier this month. General manager Jason Licht also signed some notable UDFAs afterward.
With a clear focus on the defensive side of the ball this offseason, there are some offensive players who arrived too, and it was their new offensive coordinator, Josh Grizzard, who had a message for everyone walking into One Bucs Place for the first time this offseason.
“You can play a long time in this league if you don’t make the same mistake twice. If you made a mistake today, it is what it is, just don’t make the same mistake tomorrow,” Grizzard said. “We are adding a new install so that we can go attack the defense. We’re not just going to run the same (expletive) for three days in a row. Stay in your books, overcommunicate, especially for the skill and quarterbacks, if you can help out the guy beside you, it’s really going to help out the whole operation, alright? Any questions, get your with your coaches again.

“Stay hydrated, we’ve got two more days of this thing. We’ll go out there and attack these guys tomorrow.”
The 34-year-old Grizzard is entering his first season as the Buccaneers’ offensive coordinator after serving as the team’s pass game coordinator in 2024.
He follows a line of successful OCs in Tampa Bay recently, including Byron Leftwich, who won a Super Bowl title as the team’s offensive head in 2020, Dave Canales, who’s now the head coach in Carolina, and Liam Coen, who took the head coaching job in Jacksonville earlier this offseason.
