Injured Lions’ Kerby Joseph wears Mario costume ahead of Vikings game at Ford Field

Detroit Lions safety Kerby Joseph wore a Mario costume on the sidelines ahead of the game against the Minnesota Vikings on Sunday, Nov. 2, 2025 at Ford Field in Detroit. Joseph was ruled out because on an ongoing knee injury.

The Detroit Lions had positional needs ahead of the 2025 NFL trade deadline, but they did not make any trades to address them.

As predicted by Detroit coach Dan Campbell in a Monday news conference, the Lions did not make any deals during the most active two days of trading in the NFL regular season, choosing instead to stay with the roster they have.

The moves the Lions made on deadline day were footnotes: releasing tight end Kenny Yeboah and offensive lineman Justin Herron, along with reportedly signing offensive lineman Jack Conley to the practice squad.

But considering the multitude of injuries the team is facing along their offensive line and among their defensive backs, the lack of movement seems to have frustrated some fans.

Here is a sampling of social media reactions on the Lions:

Lions trade deadline social media reactions

I’m sorry but there’s no world where you watch how banged up the Lions are and don’t make ONE MOVE at the trade deadline.

Not for a starter, not for depth, not for anything.

THAT’S INSANITY.

I remember in my mentions that the Commanders were “loading up” last year…

This is the other side of trading draft picks left and right for players. https://t.co/X5TGQLyC1C

I wanted the Lions to add a guard, like many of you.

But it also doesn’t surprise me that Detroit didn’t think they were 1 guard injury away from their Super Bowl chances evaporating. They trust their depth, as they have at every other position (and mostly been right).

Guys, the reality of it is, Brad’s not doing anything today. And if he does, it’s not going to be for anyone you want.

if the Jets are doing a fire sale, can I ask about one (1) Jermaine Johnson?

You know for all the doom and gloom on the timeline about the current state of the #Lions

If they beat the Commanders on Sunday and the Packers lose on MNF vs the Eagles, the Lions are in 1st place in the division.#OnePride

A lot of people are wanting an offensive lineman at the deadline, what some don’t understand is, doesn’t happen often. Only 7 offensive lineman have traded since 2002.

I’m so tired of the Detroit Lions doing nothing.

Least aggressive organization in the league. Their fans will be forever haunted by these annual trade deadline duds.

GO FOR IT FOR ONCE!!!
