Jeremy Cluff writes: “This game is a must-win for the Texans and C.J. Stroud’s status looms large for Houston. Houston will edge Jacksonville with a strong defensive effort. And when we say edge, we mean edge.”

Bookies.com: Bet the Jaguars with the points vs Texans

Bill Speros writes: “Suddenly the AFC South has a pulse, at least in terms of teams not from Indianapolis winning the division. The 5-3 Jaguars sit just a game back in the loss column and have two games remaining against the Colts. Jacksonville won the first meeting between these teams 17-10 in Week 3. Trevor Lawrence completed just 20 of his 40 attempts. C.J. Stroud threw 2 picks and the Jags forced a crucial Nico Collins fumble. Both teams went into overtime Sunday. Jacksonville stopped a 2-point conversion to hold on for a 30-29 win over the Raiders. The Texans fell short 18-15 to Denver. Jacksonville’s Liam Coen launches his campaign for ‘Coach Of The Year’ honors this week with a big road win.”

The site’s formula predicts that the Texans will win the NFL Week 10 game against the Jaguars.

ESPN: Texans have a 58.9% chance to beat Jaguars on Sunday

The site gives the Jaguars a 40.8% shot at winning the NFL Week 10 game, with the remaining percentage accounting for a tie.

Dimers: Texans 24, Jaguars 21

It writes: “After extensive simulations, our model gives the Jaguars a win probability of 40%, while the Texans have a win probability of 60%.”

Sportsnaut: Jacksonville Jaguars 23, Houston Texans 17

Matt Johnson writes: “The Houston Texans should win this game if C.J. Stroud clears the NFL concussion protocol, but that is far from a given. Stroud suffered a concussion after a significant hit in Week 9 and was ruled out for the remainder of the game against the Denver Broncos. His return status remains uncertain as he continues through the concussion protocol. Even without Stroud, the Texans defense will make it extremely difficult for Trevor Lawrence in a matchup where the Jacksonville Jaguars might very well be without Brian Thomas Jr. and Travis Hunter (IR). For now, Davis Mills is anticipated to start for the Texans in Week 10, and they are likely to lose another close game with him in Stroud’s place.”
