The Carolina Panthers made a handful of (non-trade-deadline-related) moves on Tuesday.

As announced this afternoon, the team has added three players to their practice squad—running back DeeJay Dallas, offensive lineman Ja’Tyre Carter and safety Israel Mukuamu. Dallas and Mukuamu were standard signings while Carter returns as a practice-squad exception after being waived with an injury designation during the summer.

Dallas, in a move to open up a spot on the active roster for guard Chandler Zavala, was released this past Saturday. The sixth-year back recorded one carry and six kick returns in two games for the Panthers this season.

Mukuamu also returns after his release from the practice squad almost one month ago. He has yet to appear in a regular-season game in 2025.

To make room for Dallas, Mukuamu and Carter, the Panthers released quarterback Hendon Hooker, offensive tackle Michael Tarquin and outside linebacker Carlos “Boogie” Basham. Hooker, a former third-round pick of the Detroit Lions, was signed in late August.

With Hooker out, Carolina is now rostering just one quarterback, Mike White, on their practice squad.
