Who would you consider the Indianapolis Colts’ most underrated player heading into the 2025 NFL season?
Jonathon Marci of Pro Football Focus recently went through all 32 NFL teams and highlighted their unsung hero. For the Colts, Marci chose left tackle Bernhard Raimann.

“Raimann led the team in PFF pass-blocking grade (82.0) in 2024, ranking 14th among offensive tackles in that regard,” wrote Marci. “He was one of just six offensive tackles to rank in the top 12 at his position in both PFF pass-blocking grade and run-blocking grade in 2024, leading to a top-10 PFF overall grade (85.1) at the position.”
Raimann put together a breakout year in 2023, his second NFL season, and continued to build upon that level of play last year. According to PFF, out of 83 eligible tackles last season, Raimann ranked 24th in pass-blocking efficiency.
In the run game, along with grading out well, as Marci noted, running back Jonathan Taylor averaged nearly 5.0 yards per rush when running between Raimann and left guard Quenton Nelson.
“The progress that Berny has made from year one to now, it’s been pretty incredible,” GM Chris Ballard said at the NFL Combine.

With second-year players Tanor Bortolini and Matt Goncalves presumably taking over at center and right guard this season, there are some unknowns in that regard. But Raimann–along with Nelson–will provide stability on the left side.
