MADISON, Wis. (WMTV) – The luck of the Irish could be what the Badgers need as they take on the University of Pittsburgh in the Aer Lingus College Football Classic.
Official ticket packages for the University of Wisconsin’s 2027 season opener against Pitt are on sale, the Badgers announced Wednesday. The teams will take the field Aug. 28, 2027, at Aviva Stadium in Dublin, Ireland.
The matchup will mark only the second time Wisconsin Football played an international game. The Badgers’ only other international game was 1993 Tokyo Bowl. The game will be the first time Wisconsin and Pitt face off against each other since 1967.
“For all of Wisconsin, our football team, along with our loyal alumni and supporters, this is a once-in-a-lifetime experience,” said UW-Madison Athletic Director Chris McIntosh. “I’m looking forward to bringing the celebrated passion and energy of Badger nation 3,700 miles across the globe for the Aer Lingus College Football Classic.”
Fans can click here to book an official package. Officials are encouraging fans to book early because sections are assigned first-come, first-served.
Any remaining game tickets will go on sale in early 2027 for anyone interested in buying standalone tickets.
