Fantasy Week 10 Waivers: Schultz and Loveland lead the way

USA TODAY Sports’ Jacob Camenker breaks down the top waiver wire targets you should be eyeing ahead of Week 10.

The Washington Commanders receivers are having no trouble catching injuries in 2025.

Terry McLaurin had previously been one of the most durable players in the NFL, missing just three games in his first six seasons. That has been far from the case this season, however, as the star has already been absent for five games and counting with a quad injury.

The 30-year-old eventually inked a new extension, but his time on the sidelines continued into the regular season with the nagging ailment.

Now it’s a mystery when he’ll eventually return to the field.

Here’s the latest on McLaurin.

When will Terry McLaurin return?

McLaurin is expected to be out in Week 10.

However, there appears to be a good chance that the star receiver is set to miss more time beyond that. The Commanders receiver reinjured his quad in Week 8 and now Washington is eyeing just two games before their bye week.

That also includes the NFL’s first game in Madrid, which will take place in Week 11. Head coach Dan Quinn told reporters on Nov. 3 that the team’s schedule has an impact on McLaurin’s availability moving forward.

“Knowing it’s game-game-bye, that has an effect. But I don’t have a timetable today,” Quinn said.

The receiver made his return in Week 8, which was his first game since initially injuring the quad in Week 3.

If Washington elects to keep him out through the bye, that would put McLaurin on track for a Week 13 return against the Denver Broncos.

It’s unclear whether the team would shut him down if they continue slipping in the playoff race, but those questions will eventually be asked if the Commanders can’t notch some wins before the bye.

Commanders WR depth chart

McLaurin and Samuel were supposed to form an elite receiving duo this season, but they’ve hardly been on the field together. Injuries continue to dominate the room and the team as a whole.

Luke McCaffrey and Noah Brown both landed on injured reserve, giving the rookie Lane a chance to shine in the passing game.

Through no fault of their own, Washington’s depth has been decimated all season long.
