The Pittsburgh Steelers are addressing their defensive line depth following the season-ending injury to Daniel Ekuale — signing a former 2023 third-round defensive tackle to their roster.
On Wednesday, KPRC 2 Houston’s Aaron Wilson reported that the Steelers were signing 6’5″, 326-lb DT Brodric Martin off the Kansas City Chiefs’ practice squad.
Selected by the Lions with the 96th overall pick in the 2023 NFL Draft, Martin appeared in five games for Detroit before being waived in August 2025 as part of final roster cuts, after which he subsequently signed with the Chiefs’ practice squad.
Pittsburgh will offer Martin his latest chance at the NFL level, joining one of the best defensive lines the league has to offer — looking to build off their stellar performance in last week’s win over the Indianapolis Colts.
