NASHVILLE – For the second season in a row, Battle Ground Academy senior Kaedyn Marable is a Tennessee Titans Mr. Football semifinalist as announced Thursday morning by the TSSAA. The prolific quarterback has thrown for nearly 8,000 yards in his career and was a finalist as a junior last season.

Marable leads the 9-1 Wildcats into the Division II-AA postseason once again Thursday night in Franklin against Notre Dame. BGA reached the state finals in 2024.

“If he’s not a Mr. Football, I don’t know if we need to have one,” BGA coach Bobby Bentley said of Marable on the High School Power Hour last week. “He’s everything you want in the classroom, I mean, our defensive coordinator teaches in physics and he’s got the highest grade in physics … There’s a reason he’s committed to Columbia, an IVY League school.”

Marable’s statistics speak for themselves as another deep postseason run could land the senior among the state’s elite throughout history in several offensive categories.

Marable has 7,932 career passing yards with his 97 passing touchdowns already eighth overall in TSSAA history. Marable’s 125 career touchdowns is also in the Top 10 historically with his 41 passing scores this season tied for 13th all-time in a single year with former Independence High School great Andrew Bunch. He’s 12 touchdowns away from cracking into the top 3 all-time for a season with several other records also in sight.

“He kind of plays flawlessly,” Bentley said. “He takes a lot of pride in everything he does.

“He’s a coach’s dream.”

The Tennessee Titans Mr. Football Awards announced five semifinalists for each classification and Kicker of the Year category Thursday with the top football players in all classifications of the TSSAA to be honored on Tuesday, Dec. 9, 2025, at Nissan Stadium in Nashville. The top kicker in the state will also be recognized with a Mr. Football Award, regardless of classification.

Marable is joined by Brentwood Academy’s Kesean Bowman, a standout wide receiver for the unbeaten DII-AAA contenders, and fellow Eagles star Tommy Bauchiero, who is a semifinalist for the Kicker of the Year. The trio are the only Williamson County semifinalists this season with unbeaten teams like Ravenwood in Class 6A and Page in Class 5A both notably missing nominees.

The three finalists for each award and Kicker of the Year will be unveiled by Taylor Zarzour and Titans interim head coach Mike McCoy on Titans Football, airing on Tuesday, Nov. 25 on WKRN News 2 at 6:30 p.m. on WKRN. The announcement will also be streamed on www.tennesseetitans.com, the Official Titans Mobile App and @Titans on X, Facebook and YouTube.

“We are very excited and appreciative about being involved with the Tennessee Titans for the 19th consecutive year,” stated Mark Reeves, Executive Director of the TSSAA. “They have helped make the recognition of these 50 student-athletes, their families, and schools possible. The sponsorship of the Tennessee Titans Mr. Football Awards and numerous contributions to high schools across the state since the team moved to Tennessee have meant a great deal to the member schools of the TSSAA.”

The semifinalists were selected by a committee of statewide sports writers selected winners based on performance in the 2025 regular season. Academics and character were also taken into consideration. High school head coaches and members of the media nominated the finalists.
