PITTSBURGH — Pittsburgh Steelers wide receiver Scotty Miller returned to practice on Thursday for the first time as he begins his recovery from a broken finger.
Miller had been wearing a larger brace that connected two fingers on his left hand, but appeared at practice on Thursday wearing just a splint on his left pinky finger. Miller was obviously limited in practice, not wearing a helmet and not having any balls thrown his way, despite running routes.

Miller suffered the injury in practice before the team’s Week 8 game against the Green Bay Packers, and he missed each of the team’s last two games. Head coach Mike Tomlin did not rule him out for this Sunday’s Week 10 visit to the Los Angeles Chargers, but with Miller still unable to catch a football with just one practice before the game, him playing on Sunday night seems unlikely.
