Not much changed on Thursday’s updated injury report ahead of Week 10’s game between the New Orleans Saints and Carolina Panthers, at least not for the black and gold. Starting right tackle Talielse Fuaga (ankle) was inactive again after suffering a sprain last week. Two others dealing with ankle injuries, Alvin Kamara and Jack Stoll, were limited again. And a group of four players practiced fully while receiving treatment: quarterback Taysom Hill (knee), defensive ends Cameron Jordan (ankle) and Jonah Williams (shoulder), and offensive tackle Barry Wesley (hip), who remains on injured reserve.
But there were two new additions for New Orleans. Defensive tackle Bryan Bresee (back) was limited after an issue flared up for him during practice. Another defensive tackle, Davon Godchaux, had his usual day off on veteran’s rest. Losing Bresee would be a big blow, so we’ll be watching for news on him after Friday’s final practice session of the week.
Things were different for Carolina. The Panthers upgraded running back Rico Dowdle (quadricep) to limited reps, while safety Lathan Ransom (illness) practiced fully after being limited earlier in the week. Right guard Chandler Zavala (elbow) was inactive again, while left guard Damien Lewis (oblique) and center Cade Mays (ankle/knee) practiced fully. But the Panthers added two new names to their injury report, too. Wide receiver Brycen Tremayne (hip) didn’t practice on Thursday, and star defensive tackle Derrick Brown (elbow) was limited. It’s something else to keep an eye on as the week draws to a close.
