There is no fury like a Tennessee Titans team scorned.

The Boston Sports Journal’s Mike Giardi is reporting that Titans owner Amy Adams Strunk might have been unwilling to do business with the New England Patriots ahead of the trade deadline because of how things ended with Mike Vrabel in Tennessee. Per the report, Strunk did not want to help Vrabel’s new team.

Giardi wrote:

“I was also told there has been some conversation league-wide that Tennessee might be unwilling to make deals with New England because the owner, Amy Adams Strunk, continues to think too much about how things ended with Vrabel and is not inclined to help his new team.”

Not entertaining trades based on a grudge is certainly a choice.

It’s even weirder considering the Titans fired Vrabel after the 2023 season, after he was Coach of the Year (2021) and carried the franchise to three consecutive playoff appearances, including an AFC Championship Game appearance in the 2019 season.

He didn’t quit the team and leave the franchise hanging. The Titans decided it was time to move on, and that’s exactly what Vrabel is doing by coaching in New England.
