The 2025 AHSAA football playoffs have kicked off, and one of the most intriguing first-round matchups pits the Carver-Montgomery Wolverines against the Thompson Warriors. The two teams met earlier this season, with Thompson cruising to a 37-6 victory back in August.
The Wolverines (5-4) are coming off three consecutive losses and will be looking to pull off a road victory against the Warriors (7-3), who got back on track with a win in their regular-season finale. This rematch between the two 7A powerhouses should provide plenty of fireworks as they battle for a spot in next week’s state quarterfinals.
Opening kickoff is set for 7 p.m. CT on Friday, November 7 with a live TV broadcast on NFHS Network.
