EAST HARTFORD, CT (WFSB) – UConn’s football team is poised to take on Duke on Saturday afternoon in East Hartford.
Kickoff is set for 3:30 p.m. at Pratt & Whitney Stadium at Rentschler Field.
Those who can’t make it to The Rent can find the game on CBS Sports Network.
UConn is 2-2 against Duke. The game may be one of the Huskies’ toughest of the season.
The Blue Devils won the last two matchups, including last season’s 26-21 victory in Durham, NC.
UConn is 1-1 against ACC teams this season, with a win against Boston College, 38-23, and an overtime loss to Syracuse, 27-20.
The 6-3 Huskies won their last game against UAB 38-19, which made them bowl eligible.
Being bowl eligible does not guarantee a bowl invitation. As an independent program, the Huskies have no tie-ins with any bowls.
Wide receiver Skyler Bell put up big numbers against UAB. He caught eight passes for 149 yards and scored 3 touchdowns.
Quarterback Joe Fagnano completed 23 of 30 passes for 267 yards and threw 4 touchdowns.
After Saturday’s game, UConn has two games left on its regular season schedule, including against Air Force at home on Nov. 15 and against Florida Atlantic in Boca Raton, FL on Nov. 22.
