Allen Park — For the third consecutive game, the Detroit Lions will have to make do without Kerby Joseph.

The All-Pro safety has been ruled out for Sunday’s contest at the Washington Commanders. Joseph (knee) hasn’t played since Oct. 12, when the Lions visited the Kansas City Chiefs. It’s the result of a nagging knee injury that’s been an issue since training camp.

Four other Lions were ruled out for Sunday: Defensive linemen Josh Paschal (back) and Pat O’Connor (knee), offensive lineman Miles Frazier (knee) and running back Jacob Saylors (back). Paschal and Frazier had their practice clocks started this week, but their season debuts will have to wait until at least Week 11. O’Connor and Saylors first appeared on Wednesday’s injury report.

Six Lions were tabbed as questionable, including starting left tackle Taylor Decker (shoulder, knee). Head coach Dan Campbell said Friday that Decker and right tackle Penei Sewell, the latter of whom missed practice on Wednesday with a shoulder issue, were “doing well.” Earlier this week, both Decker and Sewell expressed confidence in playing against the Commanders.

Others who are questionable for Sunday include offensive tackle Dan Skipper (back), running back Craig Reynolds (hamstring), safety Daniel Thomas (forearm), and linebackers Malcolm Rodriguez (knee) and Grant Stuard (foot).

More injury updates

▶ CB D.J. Reed (hamstring): Reed has officially missed four games, making him eligible to come off injured reserve. Campbell, however, doesn’t expect to have the veteran back for another few weeks, estimating Reed could be ready to return in “early December, somewhere in there.”

“He’s looking good,” Campbell said Friday. “He’s getting better and better.”

▶ Paschal (back): Campbell compared Paschal’s path back to the field to the one taken by Alim McNeill, who had a couple weeks of practice before returning. Campbell said Paschal was “tearing it up” during Wednesday’s practice, and he’s been “really pushing our guys, which is good.”
