The Chicago Bears will battle the New York Giants in Week 10, where Chicago is looking to mount another winning streak and win their sixth game this season.

The Bears are coming off a thrilling shootout win over the Cincinnati Bengals, where the offense posted nearly 600 yards and 47 points as the defense struggled to contain Joe Flacco and his array of weapons. Now, Chicago faces a struggling Giants team that’s managed to compete in games but only has two wins to their name. On paper, the Bears have the advantage in this game. But they still have to go out there and find a way to emerge victorious.

Ahead of Sunday’s game, here are five things to know ahead of the Bears’ Week 10 matchup against the Giants:

Bears can surpass last season’s win total

Ben Johnson’s impact on the Bears in his first season has been significant, and you can see it in how Chicago has started their 2025 season. It took the Bears just eight games to match the team’s win total from the 2024 season, where Johnson has his team rolling at 5-3. Now, Chicago has an opportunity surpass their win total and continue to hold steady in the race for the NFC North. This is one of the easier games remaining on their slate, so if the Bears have any hopes for the postseason, they need to win games like this.

Bears among best offenses in NFL

The Ben Johnson effect is in full bloom in Chicago, where he has his offense rolling through the first eight games. The Bears rank in the top 10 of most statistical categories — 26.9 points per game (6th), 378.4 yards per game (4th), 234.0 passing yards per game (10th) and 144.4 rushing yards per game (4th). Chicago is also the most explosive offense in the league, and they’ve retained the title for several weeks. Sunday’s game against the Giants, who have some holes on defense, presents another opportunity for the Bears offense to make waves.

Giants defense struggles against the run

The Bears have a decided advantage heading into Sunday’s matchup against the Giants when it comes to the run game. New York is allowing 150 rushing yards per game, which ranks 31st in the NFL, while Chicago is averaging 144.4 rushing yards per game, second in the league. Rookie running back Kyle Monangai is coming off a 176-yard outing in place of an injured D’Andre Swift. With both backs healthy, the Bears have a great chance to set the tone early on offense while leaning on their strength with the ground game.

Bears lead NFL in turnover differential

The Bears have the league’s best turnover differential (+13) entering Week 10. Chicago’s defense has totaled 19 takeaways this season (1st in NFL), including 13 interceptions (1st). The Bears offense has also taken care of the football registering just six turnovers (T-5th), including four interceptions by quarterback Caleb Williams. Chicago’s defense has been at their best when they’re getting takeaways, and they have a good opportunity to continue that trend against a two-win Giants squad.

Bears have dominated Giants in Chicago

The Bears have had recent success against the Giants when playing in Chicago. The Bears have won four straight games against the Giants at Soldier Field dating back 2013. In fact, Chicago’s three losses against the Giants in that same span have all come at MetLife Stadium, including their last meeting in Oct. 2022, where New York won 20-12.
