Denver Broncos fans were not happy with the team’s offensive performance on Thursday.
The Broncos hung on to beat the Las Vegas Raiders 10-7 at home, but it was an ugly showing. Denver’s offense had seven drives end in punts, and two drives ended with turnovers. Fans at Empower Field at Mile High voiced their frustrations throughout the night with boos.
After the team improved to 8-2 — the best record in the NFL going into Sunday’s games — running back J.K. Dobbins was asked if it’s insane that the fanbase is dissatisfied with the team.
“I’m with the fanbase,” Dobbins said. “Broncos Country, I feel ya’ll. Because I’m feeling the same way. We have the team to — we could, like, we shouldn’t be in games like that. … I am frustrated, but we’re going to get it together as an offense.”
Dobbins suffered a foot injury after a hip-drop tackle in the third quarter, and fans will now hope that it’s not serious. The running back is awaiting a second opinion. Dobbins is a fan favorite and a key part of the team’s offense, so it would be a big loss if the injury forces him to miss time.
