The Jacksonville Jaguars are currently set to have one primetime game this season and it will be an excellent test for them.
When and who do the Jacksonville Jaguars face in their primetime matchup?
In Week 5, the Kansas City Chiefs will travel to Jacksonville to face the Jaguars on Monday Night Football. Kickoff will be at 8:15 PM and take place on October 6th.

Against one of the NFL’s best, this game will provide the Jaguars with an early-season litmus test to see how much progress they’ve made from last season.
In addition to this primetime matchup, the Jaguars do have another standalone game on the schedule when they take on the LA Rams in London, England in Week 7. Kickoff for that game will be at 9:30 AM.
Can the Jacksonville Jaguars gain an additional primetime matchup this season?
There is also the possibility that another primetime game could be added to the Jaguars’ schedule if the NFL decides to flex Jacksonville into the spotlight at any point this season.

Flexing for Sunday Night Football games can begin in Week 5, Monday Night Football games in Week 12, and Thursday Night games in Week 13. This, however, is dependent upon the Jaguars winning games.
On the flip side, as we saw last season, teams can be flexed out of primetime matchups as well. The Jaguars were supposed to face the Philadelphia Eagles on Sunday Night Football in Week 9, but that ended up being an afternoon game. However, that is a moot point this season for the Jaguars with their Monday Night game taking place early in the year.
This will be the third season in a row that the Jaguars will have played a Monday Night game. They have not won on Monday Night since 2011.
