FOXBORO — Patriots head coach Mike Vrabel announced Friday that running back Rhamondre Stevenson (toe), wide receiver Kayshon Boutte (hamstring) and linebacker Christian Elliss (hip) have been ruled out for Week 10 against the Buccaneers.

Stevenson, Boutte and Elliss all are starters for the Patriots. None of the three players practiced this week. Stevenson missed last week’s game against the Falcons. Boutte and Elliss both suffered injuries in that 24-23 win.

The Patriots are in the midst of a six-game winning streak and are set to face the 6-2 Buccaneers without two of their best offensive players.

Their offense was not as efficient or explosive without Stevenson and Boutte on the field. They could struggle this week against the blitz-heavy Buccaneers, since Stevenson is their best pass protector at running back.

Expect TreVeyon Henderson and Terrell Jennings to fill in for Stevenson at running back. Henderson has improved in recent weeks as a ball-carrier, but he’s continued to struggle in blitz pickup. The Patriots did not use Jennings in pass protection last week.

Henderson leads the Patriots in rushing this season with 67 carries for 283 yards and a touchdown. He’s also added 20 catches for 131 yards. Stevenson has 83 carries for 279 yards with three touchdowns and 16 catches for 169 yards. Jennings has played four games and carried the ball 18 times for 68 yards with a touchdown. He’s also caught one pass for 9 yards.

Antonio Gibson started the season as a rotational piece in the backfield, but he tore his ACL in Week 5. Jennings was brought off the practice squad as a fill-in. The Patriots could elect to elevate D’Ernest Johnson from the practice squad for a second straight week to be used as depth behind Henderson and Jennings. He played on special teams but did not get an offensive snap last week against the Falcons. He had also signed just four days prior to that game. The Patriots also have rookie Rushawn Baker on their practice squad.

The Patriots are deeper at wide receiver. Boutte, with 23 catches for 431 yards and five touchdowns, is the team’s second-leading receiver behind Stefon Diggs, who has 45 catches for 508 yards and two touchdowns. Mack Hollins, who has 20 catches for 217 yards, is also a starter.

Boutte’s snaps will likely be filled by DeMario Douglas, who has come on strong in recent weeks, and rookie Kyle Williams. Douglas has 18 catches for 262 yards and three touchdowns on the season. The Patriots have struggled to get Williams, a 2025 third-round pick, going. He has just two catches on six targets for 20 yards.

The Patriots also have undrafted rookie Efton Chism at wide receiver. Chism has been used in recent weeks as the Patriots’ kick returner. He’s played just 16 offensive snaps and has yet to receive a target in the passing game.

Elliss is the team’s second-leading tackler behind fellow linebacker Robert Spillane. The Patriots have rotated Jack Gibbens, Jahlani Tavai and Marte Mapu into Elliss’s spot, so expect those three players to fill in for the injured starter. Gibbens, a veteran linebacker who signed with the Patriots this offseason in free agency, will likely take on the biggest role in Elliss’ absence.

The Buccaneers will be without their own top offensive weapons, plus a defensive starter. Running back Bucky Irving, wide receiver Chris Godwin and edge defender Haason Reddick all are out this week. Rachaad White has been filling in for Irving at running back. The Bucs are also down Mike Evans and Jalen McMillan, both on injured reserve, at wide receiver. That leaves rookie Emeka Egbuka as their top offensive target.
