The Pittsburgh Steelers got a huge injury boost on the defensive side of the ball, as OLB Alex Highsmith — named AFC Player of Week for his stellar performance against the Indianapolis Colts last Sunday — received a positive update ahead of the Week 10 matchup vs. the Los Angeles Chargers.

After missing practice on Wednesday with an ankle injury and returning Thursday in a limited fashion, Highsmith practiced in full on Friday and doesn’t carry an injury designation heading into the Sunday Night Football game in Los Angeles.

Producing a season-best performance against the Colts in Week 9, Highsmith injured his ankle early in the game — spotted entering the blue medical tent before reentering the contest with a heavily wrapped ankle. His absence on Wednesday left some fans alarmed but he appears to be on track for another spectacular outing.

Fans can tune into the action on November 9 at 8:20 p.m. EST, including Highsmith’s performance against an injury-ridden offensive line in Los Angeles, when the Steelers visit the Chargers in what’s sure to be a classic prime-time matchup — with more details on how to watch or stream the game found here.
