Week 10 serves up a compelling AFC South matchup as Houston and Jacksonville meet with plenty on the line for both sides.

Texans vs Jaguars date and start time

Jacksonville enters at 5-3 and just halted a two-game slide. The Jaguars fell to Seattle 20-12 and then were thumped by the Rams 35-7 in London. They were able to steady themselves last week, edging the Raiders 30-29 in overtime. Trevor Lawrence battled through illness and still punched in two rushing scores, throwing for 220 yards with one interception. Parker Washington stepped up with eight grabs for 90 yards. The defense had a rough day, though, allowing four touchdown passes to Geno Smith, and it took a late stand on a two-point attempt to seal the victory.

Houston sits at 3-5 and is flirting with missing the postseason picture. Since their Week 6 bye, the Texans have gone 1-2. They handled the 49ers 26-15 but sandwiched that win between losses at Seattle and at home against Denver. To make matters worse, C.J. Stroud exited last week’s game with a concussion and will not suit up here. He completed six of ten passes for 79 yards before giving way to Davis Mills, who threw for 137 yards on 17 completions while trying to rally the Texans late.
