In addition to the Jets, the Patriots and Saints also have new head coaches in 2025. Mike Vrabel takes over in New England after a seven-year stint in the same position in Tennessee, where he led the Titans to a 54-45 record and three playoff appearances. Vrabel inherits Drake Maye, the third-overall pick in the 2024 draft, and the Patriots have made a concerted effort to build around their young franchise quarterback with such additions as tackles Will Campbell and Morgan Moses, running back TreVeyon Henderson and wide receiver Stefon Diggs.
Kellen Moore is the new head coach in New Orleans and he’ll have to sort through an uncertain quarterback situation following the sudden retirement of veteran Derek Carr. The candidates are young holdovers Spencer Rattler and Jake Haener, both recent fourth-round draft picks, and Tyler Shough, the team’s second-round pick this past April.
