The Carolina Panthers have made a few roster moves ahead of their Week 10 matchup against the New Orleans Saints.
As announced on Saturday afternoon, the team has released quarterback Mike White. The veteran passer was signed prior to the team’s Week 8 matchup against the Buffalo Bills.
White was added as insurance at the position while starter Bryce Young and backup Andy Dalton dealt with ankle and thumb injuries, respectively. He served as the emergency quarterback for last week’s 16-13 win over the Green Bay Packers.
Taking his spot will be rookie defensive lineman Jared Harrison-Hunte, who has been signed to the active roster. The 6-foot-4, 296-pounder has been a member of Carolina’s practice squad this season.
The Panthers also, with wideouts Tetairoa McMillan (hamstring) and Brycen Tremayne (hip) both questionable for tomorrow’s game, elevated receiver Dan Chisena from the practice squad.
