GREEN BAY (WLUK) — The 2025-26 Green Bay Packers schedule is out and that means fans are busy planning their social and work calendars for the back half of the year.

Much of the excitement of the schedule release is finding out just how difficult a path it could be for the green and gold to get on top this season.

At Stadium View, Jon Piotrowski was celebrating an NCAA Tournament pool victory with friends while digesting the new Packers schedule.

“Being a gold ticket package holder, I like seeing Washington and Philly,” said Piotrowski. “It would be great to see some NFC East. Overall, I like the Thanksgiving game too, and having a home opener in how many years is going to be great. I like it.”

Deondre Clarke is looking forward to the season as well.

“I’m happy about them playing the Cowboys because I know we’re going to beat them,” said Clarke. “We play them in Week 4, but I’m kind of worried about Jordan Love. I’m hoping he’s going to show up for us this year.”

Packers President and CEO Mark Murphy says the NFL has made a routine thing like the schedule release a tentpole event.

“I’m pleased with the schedule that the league has given us,” said Murphy. “We’re going to make the best of it.”

This is the last schedule release for Murphy as the leader of the organization. After 17 years in the role, he’ll be watching this season’s games as a fan.

“I think I’ll be able to relax a little more and enjoy the games a little more. I’m optimistic,” said Murphy. “I think the Packers are really positioned to have great success.”

Fans are equally as encouraged.

“I like our draft,” said Piotrowski. “I like our team. I’m thinking 13-4, 13-3, something like that.”

“I think they’ll probably be decent,” said Michael Allen of Green Bay. “They probably aren’t going to be like how they were years back, but I’m pretty sure they’ll come out strong.”

Coming out strong would be ideal, as the Packers open the year against the defending division champion Detroit Lions. That first game is just 17 Sundays away.
