The Washington Commanders host the Detroit Lions at Northwest Stadium in Landover, Maryland, this Sunday at 4:25 p.m. EDT.
In what was supposed to be a playoff rematch, the Lions are 8-point favorites (per BetMGM) after the Commanders‘ injuries sustained in Week 9. It’s not going to be the rematch most of us hoped for because Jayden Daniels, Terry McLaurin, Marshon Lattimore, and many others won’t be on the field this week. Marcus Mariota is a capable backup, but he’s not Jayden Daniels.
Choosing player prop bets wasn’t hard this week; the Commanders’ defense is full of holes and lacks leadership. The Commanders’ offense doesn’t have much to offer, either. Let’s take a look at the three best player prop bets from the Commanders and Lions Week 10 matchup.
Anytime touchdown scorer: WR Amon-Ra St. Brown -145
St. Brown leads the Lions with seven touchdowns, and the Commanders have allowed 19 passing touchdowns through nine weeks. With a decimated defense and a secondary with limited depth, Amon-Ra St. Brown will find the end zone on Sunday. Maybe more than once.
Rushing yards: RB Jahmyr Gibbs OVER 75 yards -115
Gibbs averages just under 69 rushing yards per game, but the Commanders’ defense ranks 25th in the NFL. He averages 4.9 yards per carry, and while the Commanders allow 4.4 yards per carry, Gibbs has the ability to break through the line and get down the field.
Passing yards: QB Jared Goff OVER 250 yards -120
Without Marshon Lattimore, Jonathan Jones is holding down the right side. Two safeties are questionable, but Trey Amos and Mike Sainristil are healthy. The problem is that Goff is an experienced quarterback who will find ways to exploit the Commanders’ weakened secondary. He averages nearly 240 yards per game on the season, so it’s not unreasonable to think he will go over 250 yards against the Commanders.
