The San Francisco 49ers will once again try and pull off a stunner against the Los Angeles Rams.
After a shorthanded 49ers club beat the Rams at SoFi Stadium in Week 5, LA will certainly be looking for revenge against a different shorthanded version of the 49ers. San Francisco is a little healthier on offense with starting left guard Ben Bartch back in the mix, along with tight end George Kittle and wide receiver Jauan Jennings who both missed that Week 5 tilt. However, the 49ers have since lost linebacker Fred Warner and defensive end Mykel Williams. Not to mention a host of defensive players who are hurt and questionable entering Sunday’s matchup.
If the 49ers can sneak out another win they’d put themselves in prime territory to steal an NFC West crown. A loss puts them behind the curve in the division, but they’ll still have breathing room to stay in the mix for a wild card spot.

Los Angeles is playing good football while San Francisco is still trying to just field a healthy team every week. Perhaps the 49ers dig deep and find another improbable win over the Rams, but they’re clearly a worse team on paper and it’s hard to bank twice on the magic that won them their Week 5 matchup.
