Daphne at Sparkman, Class 7A playoffs
All but three of the top 52 seeds advanced to the second round of the AHSAA playoffs this week.
Top region seeds losing in Week 1 were Class 7A Region 4 top seed Sparkman (to Daphne), Class 4A Region 2 top seed Dale County (to Mobile Christian) and Class 2A Region 1 No. 1 Clarke County (to Providence Christian).
