Let’s highlight six snap count takeaways from the Jacksonville Jaguars’ Week 10 game with the Texans.

As we continue to take a look back at the Jacksonville Jaguars’ Week 10 performance against the Houston Texans, let’s highlight some noteworthy snap count figures.

For the most part, when it comes to playing time, there aren’t many huge surprises, but each week, even at the halfway point in the season, there are a few things we can glean.

With help from PFF, here are a few quick notes from the Jaguars‘ snap count totals from Week 10.

Dyami Brown’s role is reduced

Even without Brian Thomas Jr. and Travis Hunter, Brown’s role was reduced. He played just 22 snaps, finishing fourth on the team at wideout in snaps, behind Parker Washington, Time Patrick, and Jakobi Meyers. For more on Brown’s playing time, you can find that here.

Chuma Edoga’s playing time

Without Ezra Cleveland, Cole Van Lanen started at left guard; however, Edoga still saw some playing time, specifically as an additional blocker along the offensive line.

What about at tight end?

Without Hunter Long, the playing time split between Johnny Mundt and Quintin Morris was almost equal. Morris saw 33 snaps, and Mundt played 30. Mundt saw more of the passing game snaps.

The cornerback position

This isn’t a surprise — we saw it last week against the Raiders — but Jarrian Jones started at the nickel with Jourdan Lewis out. At outside cornerback was Greg Newsome and Montaric Brown.

Jaguars lean heavily on their key defensive linemen

Defensive end and defensive tackle positions are generally heavily rotated. We still saw a rotation taking place, but of the 75 defensive snaps, Josh Hines-Allen played 61 snaps, Travon Walker played 62, and Arik Armstead played 54. Anthony Campanile leaned heavily on his top defenders to generate pressure, but that was still hard to come by.

No pitch count for Devin Lloyd

This was Lloyd’s first game back since sustaining a calf injury in Week 6, and he was not on a pitch count. Lloyd played 72 of the 75 defensive snaps on Sunday.
