KANSAS CITY, Mo. (KCTV) – As their quest to finally win the AFC continues, the Buffalo Bills have turned to someone who knows how.
On Monday, the Bills signed former Kansas City Chiefs wide receiver Mecole Hardman, according to a report from ESPN’s Jeremy Fowler. Hardman, a 27-year-old who most recently was on the Green Bay Packers practice squad before being released in September, will reportedly join the Bills’ practice squad.
In six seasons with the Chiefs, Hardman helped win three Super Bowls, including catching the walk-off touchdown in an overtime Super Bowl 58 win against the San Francisco 49ers.
Now, he’ll get a chance to make an impact with Bills quarterback Josh Allen as he and Buffalo attempt to advance further than the AFC Championship Game for the first time since the early 1990s.
Hardman posted on social media Monday afternoon, sharing three prayer hands on his X account.
Buffalo is the third team Hardman has played for outside of Kansas City. Still, 177 of his 178 career receptions are as a Chief. He joins the Bills as they are coming off a 30-13 loss to the struggling Miami Dolphins and as Allen ranks 15th in the NFL in passing yards per game.
