The Kansas City Chiefs are 5-4 just one season after losing in the Super Bowl.

Their four losses came at the hands of the Los Angeles Chargers, Philadelphia Eagles, Jacksonville Jaguars and the Buffalo Bills.

The Chiefs had a bye in Week 10 and now will get ready for a big divisional matchup against the Denver Broncos.

On Monday, Chiefs head coach Andy Reid spoke to the media.

Reid provided an update on left tackle Josh Simmons, who rejoined the team after having been out since Week 5 with a personal matter (h/t KHSB’s Matt Foster).

“I think what we’ll do is just see where we’re at here,” Reid said. “And, you know, we know we’ve got a good player in there now, and we know what Josh is capable of and all that, so we’ll just see where we’re at when they get back.”

Jaylon Moore has played in place of Simmons during his time away from the team. In those games, the Chiefs have gone 3-1 with wins over the Detroit Lions, Las Vegas Raiders and the Washington Commanders.

Simmons was Kansas City’s first-round pick in April and impressed many in the first five games of his NFL career.

As a left tackle and the player in charge of protecting Patrick Mahomes’ blind side, it’s no easy task.

So far this season, Simmons has given up just one sack and has had just three penalties.
