A look at how the 62 defensive snaps were divided up against the Seahawks.

In the Arizona Cardinals‘ 44-22 loss to the Seattle Seahawks Sunday, 21 players participated in at least one of the 62 defensive snaps, and 33 players participated in at least one of the 27 special teams snaps.

Rookie Mike linebacker Cody Simon, playing instead of the injured Mack Wilson Sr., was the defender that played every snap. Rookie Denzel Burke missed only one snap.

Three defensive players were on the field only for special teams: Linebackers Owen Pappoe and Jared Bartlett, and cornerback Elijah Jones.

Pappoe and safety Kitan Crawford each missed only two special teams snaps. Linebacker Jared Bartlett, who was elevated from the practice squad for the first time this season, tied for second on the team with 17 snaps.

How were the snaps divided up? Below are the individual snap counts for every player who got into the game defensively, grouped by position, as well as the snap counts on special teams.

The first number after each name is snaps, and the second is the percentage. Players in bold were starters.

The best that could be said about O’Donnell’s punting is that all four of his kicks resulted in fair catches. That made the average and net only 40.8 yards with two inside the 20. Gillikin is eligible to begin practicing this week, but there has been no word on his rehab from a back injury. Ryland wasn’t called on for a field-goal attempt.

Three of the team’s seven kickoff returns gained less than 20 yards with Dortch having one for 15 and Knight for 16 and 17. Crawford had a holding penalty on a return. Clark had a forced fumble on a kickoff return, but the Seahawks were able to recover.
