The Packers’ offensive struggles continue in 10-7 loss to the Eagles

Pete Dougherty joins Dominique Yates to recap the Packers’ 10-7 loss to the Eagles on “Monday Night Football.”

We were all ready for some “Monday Night Football,” but apparently the offenses of the Green Bay Packers and Philadelphia Eagles were not.

We’re supposed to expect the unexpected in the NFL but nobody was anticipating a total of 17 points in the Packers’ 10-7 loss to Philadelphia at Lambeau Field. The Eagles offense looked like it was still resting after a bye week and the home team’s offense seemed to need another week off to fix things.

Yes, both defenses were absolutely outstanding. However the scoreboard showed a pair of zeroes at halftime and most football fans aren’t into baseball scores, especially those fans that are wagering.

Neither quarterback threw for 200 yards and both teams reached the red zone once. That’s not exactly TV gold.

So in addition to the predictable Jordan Love trolling from opposing NFC North fans, it seemed that many viewers that had no rooting interest were clearly rooting for more points.

Here’s a sample:

WILD STAT: There hasn’t been a 0-0 game in the NFL in the last two years.. until tonight.

University of Georgia fans apparently did appreciate the constant punting:

It’s 0-0 at halftime of Packers-Eagles.

Coincidentally, there are 11 active former UGA defenders between the two teams.
