Meet the NY Jets’ 2025 NFL Draft class, player-by-player

Who did the Jets pick in the 2025 NFL Draft? Check out the entire class, pick by pick.

Along with the other 31 teams on Wednesday night, the New York Jets 2025 NFL schedule has been released.

All the dates, times and opponents are known for the upcoming season, which will be the inaugural campaign for the front office led by general manager Darren Mougey, head coach Aaron Glenn and on the field with quarterback Justin Fields, who signed a two-year, $40 million contract to be the new Jets’ starting QB.

So now the biggest question remains: How will the Jets perform in 2025?

Can Gang Green, led by Fields and Co. surprise and compete for a playoff spot or will they struggle and continue the longest playoff drought in North American sports at 14 seasons?

While we won’t know until this fall, there’s no better time to take a swing and predict how the Jets will perform this year.

Here are game-by game predictions for the Jets in the 2025 season:

The big question surrounding the Jets home opener will be is Aaron Rodgers the Steelers’ QB?

While recent rumors have leaned more to the side that he will sign in Pittsburgh, we likely won’t know for weeks or months if that’s the case.

Whether it’s Rodgers or not, the Jets shock most by pulling off the upset in a low-scoring contest to win Week 1 for only the second time in the last seven years.

In a likely potential battle of QBs with revenge games against their former teams, it’s Fields who comes out on top in his debut with the organization.

Prediction: 1-0

The Jets have not fared well against the Bills in recent years, dropping eight of the last 10 head-to-head meetings over the last five seasons.

However, the only two wins during that span have come in MetLife Stadium.

They’ll be feeling good coming off the win versus Pittsburgh, but unfortunately the Jets come up short against reigning NFL MVP Josh Allen and the Bills.

Prediction: 1-1Week 3: New York Jets at Tampa Bay Buccaneers

The Jets first two road games will be in the Sunshine State with the first stop in Tampa.

This is a brutal spot for the Jets, as it will likely be hot and humid all game long in Florida against a high-flying offense in the Buccaneers.

Gang Green falls under .500 for the first time this season as a Tampa Bay offense featuring Baker Mayfield, Mike Evans, Chris Godwin and Bucky Irving will be too much for the Jets too handle.

Prediction 1-2Week 4: New York Jets at Miami Dolphins (Thursday night)

The first primetime game for the Jets this year comes in this spot with a divisional showdown against the Dolphins.

Yes, Dolphins’ QB Tua Tagovailoa struggled with more concussion concerns last year. However, this time he’s healthy this early into the season.

After a thrilling back-and-forth overtime affair last December, the Dolphins top the Jets again at home, this time not needing overtime to do so.

Prediction: 1-3Week 5: New York Jets vs. Dallas Cowboys

At this point, the Jets are reeling. They’re in desperate need of a win to avoid already asking the question of if the playoffs are even in the picture.

This will be a shocking upset, as the Jets are able to earn the victory versus America’s Team before heading to Europe.

Prediction: 2-3Week 6: New York Jets vs. Denver Broncos (London)

For the second consecutive season, the Jets head across the pond to play at Tottenham Hotspur Stadium in London, England.

It’s hard for it to go worse than it did last year, when the Jets loss ended up in the firing of former head coach Robert Saleh less than 48 hours later and the eventual departure of former general manager Joe Douglas in what was one of the turning points in a lost season.

It won’t be as bad this time around, but the Jets still come up short with a loss across the pond.

Prediction: 2-4Week 7: New York Jets vs. Carolina Panthers

Just like the Jets, the Panthers also finished 5-12 in 2024.

Despite a disappointing campaign, Carolina showed fight and promise after No. 1 overall pick Bryce Young was benched early in the year.

This will be an unexpectedly fun game with points aplenty, as the Jets get back in the win column with a win over the Panthers.

Prediction: 3-4Week 8: New York Jets at Cincinnati Bengals

This is a pivotal point in the Jets season.

With a bye week forthcoming, Gang Green has a tough road contest in Cincinnati.

A win puts the Jets back at .500 while a loss moves them another game back with the calendar soon to be flipping to November.

The Jets will put a valiant effort against a high-flying Bengals offense, but ultimately Cincinnati pulls away and puts too many points on the board for Fields and Co. to catch up.

Prediction 3-5Week 9: BYE WEEKWeek 10: New York Jets vs. Cleveland Browns

Could the Jets be facing Shedeur Sanders, son of Hall of Famer Deion Sanders by this point? There’s a strong case given where Cleveland’s at in the standings.

Regardless of who is at QB for the Browns, the Jets get back in the win column.

Prediction: 4-5Week 11: New York Jets at New England Patriots (Thursday night)

The second and final primetime game for the Jets comes with another AFC East showdown, this time in Foxboro against the Patriots.

Drake Maye in his first full season starter and the addition of Stefon Diggs will make the Pats a tough out under new head coach Mike Vrabel.

It’s close but the Jets get their first road win of the season in this spot and finally get back to the .500 mark.

Prediction: 5-5Week 12: New York Jets at Baltimore Ravens

Lamar Jackson and the Ravens will be on a revenge tour after the Ravens came up short in the playoffs and Jackson finished runner up in NFL MVP voting behind Josh Allen.

This one could get ugly quick, as the chance for a three-game winning streak comes to an abrupt halt with a blowout loss in Baltimore.

Prediction: 5-6Week 13: New York Jets vs. Atlanta Falcons

Thanksgiving has come and gone and the Jets need to start stockpiling wins to stay in the playoff race.

Playing the Falcons — a team that has to leave their dome and play in the cold northeast weather in late November — should give the Jets the advantage here.

However, Atlanta finds a way to steal a win on the road as the Jets fall back to two games under .500.

Prediction: 5-7Week 14: New York Jets vs. Miami Dolphins

The Dolphins offense was too much for the Jets to handle in the first meeting in September.

This time, the Jets have the massive advantage with the conditions, keeping Tua and the Miami offense grounded to earn the win.

Prediction: 6-7Week 15: New York Jets at Jacksonville Jaguars

By this point, we’ll already be well aware if Jaguars No. 2 overall pick Travis Hunter is primarily a wide receiver, cornerback or plays both ways.

I see Jacksonville as a surprising team contending with the Jets here for the third and final AFC Wild Card spot.

The third and final game in Florida features another loss, as the Jets go 0-for-3 in the state of Florida in the 2025 season.

Prediction: 6-8Week 16: New York Jets at New Orleans Saints

With the retirement of Derek Carr this offseason, one of the teams I see competing for the No. 1 overall pick next season will be the Saints.

The Jets are in dire need of a win to keep their slim playoff hopes alive, and they do with a commanding victory in the Superdome leading up to Christmas.

Prediction: 7-8Week 17: New York Jets vs. New England Patriots

The Jets home finale is a familiar foe with it coming versus the Patriots.

After falling short in Foxboro, Gang Green gets it done this time versus the Pats, with all hopes of a potential playoff berth riding on Week 18 in Buffalo.

Prediction: 8-8Week 18: New York Jets at Buffalo Bills

Yes, there’s a good chance like last season in Week 17 that the Bills could realistically sit a bunch of starters in the regular season finale after already clinching the AFC East division for a sixth consecutive season.

However, the Bills are still fighting for the No. 1 overall seed in the AFC playoffs, spelling bad news for the Jets.

Gang Green’s optimistic hopes of ending their long lasting playoff drought continues as the Buffalo takes care of business, as the Jets finish 2025 with an 8-9 record but missing the postseason.

Prediction: 8-9
