The Los Angeles Rams could be sitting pretty when the 2026 NFL draft rolls around next April. Not only do they have two first-rounders, but the one they acquired from the Atlanta Falcons could end up being a top-10 pick when all is said and done from the 2025 season.

As of this writing, the Falcons’ pick is No. 10 in the draft. The Rams’ own pick sits toward the end of the first round at No. 27. Now, anything can happen between now and April (including an offseason trade for a veteran or a big trade-up by Les Snead and Sean McVay), but for now, the Rams possess those two selections.

CBS Sports’ Josh Edwards predicted the first round of the 2026 NFL draft heading into Week 11 with this order in mind and picked Miami offensive tackle Francis Mauigoa with the No. 10 pick and Tennessee cornerback Colton Hood with the No. 27 pick. Both are likely the biggest positions of need for the Rams in the 2026 offseason if quarterback Matthew Stafford stays with the team.

Los Angeles takes a player who would theoretically block the prospect Atlanta traded its first-round pick for (James Pearce Jr.) back in April. Francis Mauigoa is the first of two selections for the Rams in the opening round.

With the second of their two first-round picks, the Rams continue pushing their chips to the middle of the table in support of Matthew Stafford. They addressed right tackle with Atlanta’s pick earlier, and now they add an ascending cornerback to bolster the secondary.

The 6-foot-6, 315-pound Mauigoa is a mauling right tackle who would take over Rob Havenstein on the Rams offensive line either immediately or at some point next year. He has an 84.2 career Pro Football Focus grade, including an 80.7 run-blocking grade and an 86.3 pass-blocking grade. That’s a great starting point for the Rams offensive line.

Hood has bounced around during his three collegiate seasons from Auburn to Colorado before landing in Tennessee this season. He has just three career interceptions over the past two seasons but 13 pass breakups. The Rams need secondary help with so many of their cornerbacks and safeties potentially hitting free agency in 2026. And in a deep cornerback class, snagging Hood is a great idea.
