With the Colts having nine home games during the regular season compared to eight road games, to balance out the overall home and away numbers, so to speak, Indianapolis has just one home game during the preseason. This is the case for the entire AFC.
A lot of eyes are going to be on the Colts during training camp and especially once these preseason games begin, with there being the quarterback competition between Daniel Jones and Anthony Richardson.
Shane Steichen has said that both players will split reps throughout this process, and ultimately, he is looking for the most consistent player. Oftentimes, we don’t see starting quarterbacks playing all that much in the preseason, but that could be different this year for the Colts as they try to create as much competition as possible for this job opening.
