Jackson said that every time talks about being named Fan of the Year, he gets choked up. When he was in the tunnel at SoFi Stadium, getting ready to receive the honor on the field, he said he had to stop for a second and shed a tear.
“I’m forever grateful for this, man,” Jackson said. “Every time I look at this jersey, I look at it, ’25 Fan of the Year, I’m just like, ‘Wow, this is really happening.'”
Years ago, Jackson started a podcast with, Sal Martinez, who was named Fan of the Year in 2023. Martinez ran the Golden Ram Barbershop, and Jackson would learn Rams and NFL history from him when he went to get his haircut. A friendship was born, and they began filming their podcast at a studio in Orange, Calif., to talk about Rams football and the community its created in Southern California.
Martinez recently passed away, but Jackson has continued with the podcast, carrying on the work and legacy that they started together. He’s happy to have Rams fans or fans of opposing teams on the podcast.
“It’s just a fun environment to talk football,” Jackson said.
