Denver Broncos QB Bo Nix knows that the fans didn’t leave Thursday Night Football against the Las Vegas Raiders feeling particularly satisfied.

The Broncos won their seventh game in a row and improved to 8-2 on the season, but the offense was not clicking in the ugly 10-7 victory.

Nix threw for only 150 yards and had two interceptions to go along with his lone touchdown pass to Troy Franklin. It proved to be enough, but Denver didn’t exactly silence any doubters when it comes to their offense.

At his press conference on Wednesday, Bo Nix was asked about his level of joy during this season. Yes, the Broncos are winning, but it hasn’t always been pretty. He gave a revealing answer.

“It’s great to win games. Honestly, it keeps you confident, excited throughout the week. Because it’s a lot tougher to lose these games when you know you have things to work on as opposed to winning them,” Nix said.

At the end of the days, victories are all that matters. Nix made that clear as he continued his response.

“When it starts clicking for you it’s going to be that much better. We probably take for granted winning the games, because it’s not aesthetically pleasing or it’s not as good as we want it to look. But at the end of the day you play to win and a win is the only thing that’s going to matter in weeks to come,” Bo Nix said.

The Broncos can get a huge win this weekend, sending themselves to 9-2 while dropping the AFC West rival Chiefs to 5-5. It would be the biggest triumph for the franchise in a long time.

“They don’t care about stats. They don’t care about what it looked like or if the offense or defense played well, they just care if you won. So, we just gotta find reasons to continue to win and I do think that when we start playing with all three phases of the game, I think it’s going to be a lot more fun,” Nix said.

Denver fans are having fun, but Bo Nix isn’t wrong that things would be more enjoyable if the offense began doing its part. Millions will be watching on Sunday to see if that starts happening.
