An Inviting Stretch
It will be interesting to see where the Jets stand after their 11th game, at Baltimore on Nov. 23. Their post-Thanksgiving slate from Weeks 13-17 consists of five teams that finished under .500 last season: vs. Atlanta Falcons, vs. Miami Dolphins, at Jacksonville Jaguars, at New Orleans Saints and vs. New England Patriots.
Much like the Jets, the Patriots (Mike Vrabel), the Jaguars (Liam Coen) and the Saints (Kellen Moore) have head coaches in their first years. None of the clubs are void of talent as the Pats may have one of the NFL’s most improved rosters. Rookie sensation Travis Hunter will be fun to watch in Jacksonville, but this could be a nice stretch for the Green & White to make some noise.
Matinee Football
The Jets are slated to have 13 kickoffs at 1 p.m. Eastern including all eight home games at MetLife Stadium. This marks the third time since 1995 (2021 and 2017) the Jets will have at least 13 1 p.m. games. The Jets are scheduled to appear in two AFC East primetime games as the visitor — Week 4 Thursday night at Miami and Week 11 Monday night at New England — while the Jets-Broncos contest in Week 6 will make it three standalone games.
London Sandwich
For the third time since 2018, the Jets will play three consecutive games where they are the designated “home” team.
On Tuesday, the NFL announced that the Jets will host the Broncos in Week 6 at Tottenham Hotspur Stadium. The international contest will mark the Jets’ third game at Tottenham in five seasons. Prior to facing the Broncos in North London, the Jets will look to secure their third consecutive home victory over the Dallas Cowboys. Jets HC Aaron Glenn, who lined up at CB for the Boys in 2005-06 and recorded 5 INTs and 20 PDs, will lead the Green & White in this interconference matchup. Then after returning from the United Kingdom, the Jets will face the Carolina Panthers at MetLife.
