The injury updates surrounding New York Jets wide receiver Garrett Wilson has been another interesting turn for the franchise… but it appears we have an answer ahead of the Jets’ game at the New England Patriots.
Head coach Aaron Glenn has decided to make it a mission to not reveal information to the media which has turned into press-conference battles. Glenn is doing so despite claiming he would do so this offseason.
At first this only concerned who Glenn would pick as his starting quarterback. Now it will relate to injury updates.
Prior to his Tuesday press conference, it was reported by ESPN that star wide receiver Garrett Wilson will not play on Thursday:
Glenn was not happy about that.
The coach made that known when his press conference did come about. Glenn told other reporters to go ask ESPN for injury news instead of him.
Now just days later, it does appear ESPN is, at least, close to being right about Wilson’s situation.
The final injury report released by the Jets (2-7) ahead of facing the Patriots (8-2) had Wilson listed as being out because of his knee injury.
It still remains to be seen what Wilson’s status beyond Thursday.
Jets Wire will continue to provide updates throughout the 2025 season.
