Cade Stover is back in action. Now the question turns to whether he’ll be cleared to return for the Houston Texans in time for Week 11’s showdown against the Tennessee Titans.

According to KPRC 2 Sports’ Aaron Wilson, the Texans have brought back the second-year tight end from injured reserve and could activate him as early as this week. The Texans also tweeted out on Wednesday that Stover had return to practice.

Stover has been on the IR since going down in Week 1’s loss vs. the Los Angeles Rams after suffering a broken foot in the fourth quarter. A former teammate of C.J. Stroud at Ohio State, the former fourth-round pick was anticipated to have a solid role within the Texans’ offense throughout the season, even as a potential starting tight end, but saw his season quickly come to a halt during their opener.

In his lone game before ending up on the IR, Stover had four catches for 22 yards. During his first season, he caught 15 passes for 133 yards and a touchdown.

The Texans take on the Tennessee Titans this Sunday at Noon CT.
