The Cincinnati Bengals will not have first-round pick Shemar Stewart when the team takes on the Pittsburgh Steelers in Week 11.
On Wednesday, head coach Zac Taylor announced that Stewart is week-to-week due to a knee injury sustained in the Week 9 loss to the Chicago Bears, so he’s effectively ruled out for Sunday’s game in Pittsburgh.
This is already the second significant injury Stewart has suffered in his rookie season. An ankle injury in Week 2 cost him four games, and he’s now likely to miss several more due to his latest setback.
With Stewart out, guys like Cedric Johnson and Cam Sample will continue to get extended snaps.
