The Buffalo Bills have signed former Georgia Bulldogs wide receiver Mecole Hardman to their practice squad. Hardman is an NFL veteran that will bring experience and speed to the Buffalo offense, which is coming off one of their worst performances of the season in a 30-13 defeat to the Miami Dolphins.

Hardman was a member of the Green Bay Packers’ practice squad this season. However, Green Bay released Hardman in September. Hardman will wear No. 16 with the Bills.

Hardman is already practicing with Buffalo and could also serve as a punt and kickoff returner for the Bills. Hardman is still working to fit into the Buffalo offense and does not even have a handshake with star quarterback Josh Allen yet. After practice, Hardman notes “we (him and Josh Allen) gotta work on” having a handshake like Allen does with every other Bills receiver.

In 2024, Hardman recorded 12 receptions for 90 yards and five rushes for 62 yards and one rushing touchdown with the Kansas City Chiefs. As a specialist, Hardman had 20 punt returns for 203 yards and five kickoff returns for 132 yards. He appeared in 12 games last season. Hardman is in his seventh season in the NFL and has won three Super Bowls.

He notably fumbled during Kansas City’s Divisional Round game against the Bills in Jan. 2024. Hardman will look to have better vibes this time in Buffalo.

Hardman caught the Kansas City Chiefs’ game-winning overtime touchdown in Super Bowl 58. However, the former second-round 2019 NFL draft pick doesn’t have another receiving touchdown since then.
